This original pastel drawing was inspired by my visit to the historic WT Waggner Estates in August of 2010. We were fortunate to have an invitation from friends of the ranch to visit the Whiteface Horse Camp, near Electra, Texas. The ranch has long been know for raising athletic, sturdy ranch horses. These youngsters were no exception! I very much enjoyed our tour given by Trace Cribbs, himself. We had the opportunity to see a lot of very fine mares and foals that day and this was one of 4 pieces that I’ve completed using reference photos taken that day.
