This original colored pencil features Quentin Marburger, of the Tongue River Ranch, and “Snoopy”. In this scene, Quentin is counting the cattle as they passed through the gate from the Lower China into the North Holding pasture. When moving large herds this is the only time to get an accurate count so cowboys have to learn to count fast and accurately because like in this case, there are no do overs! The reference photos were taken the fall of 2013 on my first of many trips to the Tonge River Ranch.
