Building Their Brand

“Building Their Brand”, featured a young ranching couple, Neesa and Nacona Smith, moving cattle together in a pasture on the North Canadian River bottom near Hinton, Oklahoma. The painting was created for a collaborative project with the Oklahoma Cattlewomen and is featured on an afghan surrounded by OCA registered ranch brands. The vision was to show the teamwork that it takes for a ranching couple to run a successful cattle operation. The Smith's, who are friends of the artist, are no stranger to the hard work and determination that it takes to succeed at such a venture. They are one of many couples who are braving the elements and the hardships of ranching life to feed our great nation! However, any of these couples will be quick to add that there are also many blessings that accompany this lifestyle!
