This 9” x 12” colored pencil and pastel drawing features “TRR Little Lena”, aka “Ali”, wearing a working bridle outfitted with a Ron Tollison bit and a Cody Jack buckle. This my second time to feature “Ali”! This wonderful little gelding has carried me a few miles on my Tongue River Ranch photography trips. He is a really nice stick and it was a lot of fun to draw him again! However, I called this picture “The Tollison” to honor the maker of this really nice curb bit! Mr. Tollison lives in Shamrock, Texas and makes a bit that working cowboys, trainers and collectors all appreciate. As an extra, we also have a really pretty buckle set made by Mr Jack of Amarillo, Texas.
