This little 9" x 12" colored pencil is called "The Klapper". It features "TRR Shot of Gin", aka "Waterbug", sporting a beautiful bit made by none other than Billy Klapper and a classy Russell Yates buckle set. TJ Roberts rode this nice little bay gelding last spring during spring works at the Tongue River Ranch.
It brings me joy to honor these incredible ranch horses and their horsemen, as well as the great makers such as Mr Klapper and Mr Yates! The level of horsemanship, genetics and craftsmanship represented in this little drawing are looked upon with great respect by anyone who appreciates the heritage of our western culture.
