“Spring Works at the River Pens” features Quentin Marburger throwing a beautiful heal loop in the branding pen in the spring of 2017. Quentin, his wife Angela and their 3 daughters live on the New Mexico division of the Tongue River Ranch. They have been a part of the Tongue River family since before I started visiting the ranch and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to spend time with them.
Quentin is aboard TRR Royal Blue, aka “Popsicle”. This pretty bay Roan is yet another great gelding from the Tongue River breeding program. Once again, it has been a pleasure to show the teamwork and artistry of horse and rider completing daily ranching tasks.
This piece is a testimony to the kind of people and horses that I am blessed to come in contact with on my quest to tell the story of the wonderful ranch families and their mounts!
